High Cost of Corrosion

The photos you see on this page have been taken after 10 months of construction of a bridge in Andheri (West), Mumbai. The steel is being lost rapidly to corrosion, very typical case in the highly corrosive environment of Mumbai. Even though there is some sort of liquid paint coating given to the steel here, it is not good enough. The right solution for environment such as this is thermoplastic coating which offers ultimate protection of metal structures against corrosion, wear and tear and chemical attack. The state of steel on this bridge is such that it would require a replacement every year. On the contrary a thermoplastic coated steel would give a guaranteed lifetime of 10 years.
